published with any copyright notice. The Library of Congress Card Number was A40-943 in 1942.
Because of its age, it is our (layperson's) understanding of the copyright law that the status of this printed book would be in the public domain, even if it had been copyrighted. We did research and were unable to turn up any claim to copyright, either then or now. Because it was published before 1964 without a copyright notice, the text therefore falls into the public domain under the rules specified by Circular 22 at the Library of Congress site.
In 2001, the original pages were scanned from an authentic rare 1942 booklet, which we purchased on Ebay. Then an HTML version of the book was designed and programmed.
