St. Louis, MO - Union Station - Opened on September 1, 1894 Union Station was, for a brief time, the largest
in the world. An impressive 230-foot clock tower rises from the station's
head house. Last used as a train station in 1978, it has been restored as a

In the mid 1980's, Santa Fe deemed the shops surplus and closed them. There
are current efforts to preserve the complex and convert it into a
