RailwayStation.com - General Credits
Ron Paludan is your stationmaster and the owner of RailwayStation.com. He welcomes all railfans and model railroaders to this new online community. Ron is in charge of content on this site, and is an
avid railroad gamer, amateur rr historian, as well as a Windows software programmer. You can download some of Ron's software and graphics creations from the downloads page of this site.
Ron's card game, Railroad Dynasty, published by Precedence Publishing, is now totally sold out. We hope that more decks will be printed in the future. Ron will keep surfers posted at this web site.
Ron collects railroad books, timetables and rr maps published before 1943, and would love to know if you have bargain rr pictorals for sale.
You can visit another of Ron's sites with 3D art made with Bryce and Poser, not railroad-related though, at:
3D by Paludan.
Eve Paludan is the web designer and the maintainer of this site. She also configured, installed, and tested all of the perl scripts and flat file databases for this site. If you have a broken link to report, or any technical problems with the pages at RailwayStation.com, please contact her. You can visit other sites created by Eve Paludan by clicking here.

Thanks to Matt Wright of
ScriptArchive.com for providing
FREE perl scripts that run some of the interactive pages on this site, including: the formdate.pl subroutine for Today in History, Search the Site, and the Switching Yard forum and picture linker. A modified version of
FormMail by Network Now, was originally Version 1.6, by Matt Wright and Brian Seitz, and is used to run Add-a-Book, which builds a realtime database of book titles.
We bought a Class A unlimited developer's license from Thomas Zimmerman for database search scripts which are custom perl scripts provided online at
Flattext.com. The custom scripts are created with this unique online program that makes perl scripts automatically and
to your specifications. Great documentation and quick responses to our emails made it unnecessary for us to accept Mr. Zimmerman's offer of FREE installation of the scripts. We have used
flattext perl scripts several times at this site, for running searches at our online bookstore, for searching the Today in Railroad History database by date. If you need an online database searching script, we recommend Flattext.com. You don't have to register flattext scripts until they are up and running! (Licenses range from $25-$100)
Countdown Lite, Version 1.0, a free perl script written by Edward Preble at
Datatrend Software creates and increments the log files that run the download counters for the freeware and shareware zip files
on the downloads page of RailwayStation.com.
Plug It! v1.0, a free perl script written by Mike's World, is used numerous times on this site to "plug in" or display dynamic information on web pages,
such as showing how many times a file was downloaded by accessing the countdownlite log file, then inserting the number from the log on the page, using an SSI call.
Footer V1.0, a freeware perl script written by Yutung Liu at the AHC CGI Factory, was used to plug in the mini sitemaps at the bottom of each page, using
an SSI call. If the links need to be updated, I just need to change one text file and upload it, instead of
editing every web page. You can visit Cgi-factory.com for lots of freeware perl scripts.
